RNLI is hiring an Applications Developer in Poole to help shape and build modern digital applications that support lifesaving work. You will work across the full development lifecycle, turning ideas and user needs into secure, accessible software used by volunteers, operational teams, supporters and staff.

Qualifications

• Professional experience building web applications using front-end and back-end technologies.
• Experience with C#, .NET, JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML, Tailwind and CSS or comparable tools.
• Experience using reactive front-end frameworks such as Vue or React.
• Understanding of responsive design, accessibility and cross-browser compatibility.
• Experience with APIs, system integrations and structured data.
• Experience using Git-based source control and modern deployment pipelines.
• Ability to write secure, reliable, testable, maintainable code.
• Collaborative mindset and ability to work in a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test and maintain modern, responsive applications using technologies such as .NET, C#, JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML, Tailwind and CSS.
• Build engaging and accessible user experiences using Vue or React.
• Develop and consume APIs to enable systems and platforms to work together.
• Work with content management platforms, including traditional and headless CMS architectures.
• Use Git and Azure DevOps to manage source code, reviews, pipelines and deployments.
• Produce clean, well-structured code with automated testing and documentation.
• Contribute to development standards, reusable components and ways of working.
