Our client is a specialist international music rights and licensing consultancy with a roster of media clients, including broadcasters, VOD streaming services, and FAST TV services. They manage music licenses for these clients through collecting societies such as PRS and PPL in the UK and similar organizations worldwide, including Europe, the US, Canada, and Australia. They are seeking a Licensing Manager with experience in collecting society music licensing to join their established team.

Responsibilities:

1. Handle negotiations for collecting society licenses, including licensing fees and key commercial terms, with societies in the UK and internationally.
2. Review, comment on, and finalize license agreements, ensuring ongoing compliance and reporting.
3. Collaborate closely with clients' legal, finance, and commercial teams, providing regular updates and organizing meetings.
4. Analyze client data, including financial and usage reports, using Excel to illustrate rates and potential impacts.
5. Advise clients on licensing risks and music rights matters via email and meetings.
6. Manage assigned clients effectively, build relationships, and contribute to acquiring new business through networking and marketing.

Skills and Experience Needed:

1. Experience negotiating collecting society licenses, preferably for audiovisual services, gained from media or licensing organizations.
2. Experience reviewing or drafting license agreements.
3. Excellent English communication skills, both written and spoken.
4. Strong negotiation skills and lateral thinking abilities.
5. Understanding of the international media industry and willingness to learn industry developments.
6. Knowledge of copyright and music law, with an eagerness to learn more through reading, courses, and seminars.
