Job summary
Skyborne Airline Academy in Gloucestershire is actively seeking a Licenced Aircraft Engineer to join our Maintenance team. The successful candidate will maintain Diamond DA42 aircrafts to the highest safety and airworthiness standards, ensuring efficient, compliant operations.
The role may involve travel to Bournemouth or other Skyborne bases; a fleet vehicle is provided for such duties. You will lead maintenance activities and uphold Skyborne’s safety-focused ethos while supporting ongoing
Qualifications
- Hold a valid UK CAA Part-66 Aircraft Maintenance Licence with B1.2 full Group 3 rating or B3 with piston-engine qualification.
- Practical maintenance experience on Diamond DA42 or similar twin-engine aircraft.
- DA42 training or willingness to undertake familiarisation/training.
- Competence in scheduled/unscheduled maintenance and troubleshooting.
- Experience using approved maintenance data and related manuals.
Responsibilities
- Carry out scheduled fleet maintenance on DA42 aircraft.
- Identify and rectify defects; provide AOG support when required.
- Oversee maintenance by Fleet Technicians and certify work performed.
- Ensure Health & Safety and regulatory standards are met at all times.
- Support flight operations by aligning works with the maintenance schedule.
