Job summary

First Military Recruitment Ltd in Peterborough is seeking a Licensed Aircraft Engineer on a permanent basis. The role is a Monday to Friday, on-site position with a salary of £49,000.

You will provide maintenance, sign-offs, and supervision of on-aircraft tasks to ensure airworthiness and compliance with procedures. Applicants should have strong technical knowledge, familiarity with MOD procedures and licences, and a valid driving licence.

Qualifications

• Strong technical knowledge in aircraft engineering.
• Understanding of customer and contractor partnerships.
• Ability to apply practical and theoretical standards.
• Experience with composite materials.
• Familiar with MOD procedures and documentation.
• Desirable knowledge of propeller aircraft.
• EASA/CAA Part 66 B1.2 license; willingness to progress.
• Full driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Provide CRS signature to release aircraft after maintenance.
• Supervise engineering and Flight Line activity.
• Undertake scheduled and corrective maintenance to meet airworthiness.
• Investigate and report defects and complete documentation per procedures.

Overview

First Military Recruitment is proudly working in partnership with a fantastic business who are looking to recruit a Licensed Aircraft Engineer on a permanent basis due to growth located at their Peterborough depot.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Provide a CRS signature when appropriate to release an aircraft to service after either defect rectification or scheduled maintenance.
• Supervise engineering and Flight Line activity on Company aircraft and associated equipment in conformity with authorised schedules.
• Undertake scheduled and corrective maintenance of the Aircraft fleet to ensure airworthiness is maintained to meet customer requirements on a daily basis.
• Undertake or supervise as directed, the investigation, diagnosis and rectification of defects and submission of reports as required, complete all documentation in accordance with current legislation and Company procedures.
