Job summary

Cpl Recruitment is seeking Cleaners for Libraries NI in the Belfast area. This temporary role offers a potential extension and pays £13.21 per hour. Location is Belfast with 20 hours per week and 35 days holiday per year.

Responsibilities include floor cleaning, carpet care, toilet/shower area cleaning, surface dusting, and waste removal. Candidates should have prior cleaning experience and be willing to undertake training. Access NI check may be required.

Qualifications

• Experience cleaning outside the home environment.
• Ability to work as part of a team.
• Willing to undertake necessary training.
• No criminal record that would prevent working with children and/or adults at risk.
• Desirable: experience using electrical/mechanical cleaning equipment and knowledge of Health and Safety at Work (NI) Order 1978.

Responsibilities

• Sweep, suction clean, mop, dry buff, spray clean, wax, machine scrub and dry floors with appropriate equipment.
• Clean carpets/matting and remove stains using proper methods.
• Clean toilets and showers including fixtures and fittings.
• Dust ledges, walls, fixtures and interior surfaces up to 3.35m; polish furniture where appropriate.
• Empty and clean litter bins and remove litter to designated points.

Cleaner

Cpl Recruitment is actively seeking Cleaners for Libraries NI, specifically for roles within the Belfast area. These roles are on a temporary contract with possibility of extension.

• Pay Rate - £13.21 per/hr
• Location - Belfast
• Benefits - 35 days holiday per annum
• Hours - 20hpw

Responsibilities will include:

• Sweep, suction clean, mop, dry buff, spray clean, spray wax, machine scrub and dry, strip and re-polish floors using appropriate equipment.
• Clean and remove stains of soft floor surfaces (carpets/matting) using the appropriate cleaning method.
• Clean toilet and shower area including the fixtures and fittings.
• Clean, wash and dust ledges, wall, fixtures, fittings and internal surfaces up to 3.35M.Polishing furniture, where appropriate.
• Empty and clean internal litter bins and remove litter to the designated collection points.

PERSONNEL SPECIFICATION

Applicants must provide evidence that, by the closing date, they meet the following criteria:

Experience:

Cleaning experience outside the home environment.

Skills:

Ability to work as part of a team.

Personal Qualities:

Willing to undertake necessary training.

No criminal record that would prevent working with children and/or adults at risk.

Desirable Experience:

• One year's cleaning experience working in a cleaner role, in a medium/large building will be preferable.
• Experience of using electrical/mechanical cleaning equipment.
• Knowledge of cleaning procedures and Health and Safety at Work (NI) Order 1978
