Job summary

Allscreens Nationwide Ltd. seeks a part-time Library Assistant for a client at Ballymena Library. This temporary ongoing role starts ASAP and follows a 2-week rota.

You will introduce and explain library services, assist with information access, and help learners, families and older people. Previous face-to-face customer service and ICT skills are desirable. Hours are part-time with varied shifts; you will work closely with library staff to maintain a welcoming environment and support community

Qualifications

• 5 GCSEs including English and Maths
• 1 year of face-to-face customer service experience
• Experience with ICT for accessing information
• Experience working with young children and elderly people

Library assistant for our Client based in Ballymena Library . This is an excellent opportunity to get your foot in the door with a public sector body. STARTING ASAP, Working on a 2 week rota basis

Hours of work:

Week One

• Monday- 12:30 - 17:00
• Tuesday- No hours
• Thursday- 9:30 - 17:00
• Friday- 9:30 - 17:00
• Saturday - 9:00 - 16:00

Week Two

• Monday - 9:30 - 17:00
• Tuesday - 9:30 - 17:00
• Thursday - No hours
• Frdiay - 9:30 - 17:00
• Saturday - No hours

• Standard hourly rate:

Duties include:

• Introducing and explaining library services, rules and regulations
• Provide all library services to meet the learning , information, leisure and cultural needs of the local community.
• Must have 5 GCSE's including English language and Maths grade C or equivalent
• 1 years experience providing face to face service with the public.
• Experience working with young children and elderly people
• Experience using ICT for accessing, selecting and using information
