A leading educational institution in Market Harborough is seeking a Library Assistant to support its three libraries. This role involves collaborating with students, providing excellent customer service, and enhancing library services. Ideal candidates should have a passion for reading and experience in a library setting.
We are seeking an enthusiastic and energetic individual to join our team at CLFS as a Library Assistant.
The role is available from September, with a salary ranging from £23,295 to £25,800 per annum.
Our school features three on-site libraries: a Junior Library for Years 3-6, a Senior Library for Years 7-11, and a Sixth Form Library. The Junior and Senior libraries are vibrant hubs for research and reading, actively used by students and staff, while the Sixth Form Library provides a quiet space for study.
The successful candidate will enjoy working with children, possess excellent customer service skills, and be confident with various ICT packages. Experience working in a library and a passion for reading are essential. A sense of humor, flexibility, creativity, and a desire to improve library services are highly valued. Experience in an academic environment is desirable but not mandatory.
Normal working hours are 35 hours per week, spread over 5 days, during term time plus 10 additional days. The libraries operate between 8.00 am and 6.00 pm, and shift patterns are in place.
