Job Overview
Our Liaison Psychiatry Service is looking for a passionate and enthusiastic Mental Health Practitioner to join our team, providing mental health services for all-age mental health presentations within the University Hospitals of Derby and Burton NHS Foundation Trust (UHDB) hospital sites.
It is an exciting time to join as we have recently been commissioned to move to a 24/7, 365-day service. This offers a unique opportunity for professionals qualified in Nursing, Occupational Therapy, or Social Work, who are interested in helping create a responsive and holistic mental health service. You must be fully qualified and registered with the relevant professional body.
We pride ourselves on offering extensive development opportunities and will support you to achieve your professional goals.
You will be based across Queen’s Hospital, Burton, and the two community hospitals in Tamworth and Lichfield. Some travel across various locations and community settings is expected, with the ability to travel within a geographical area to meet the role's requirements.
Shifts will cover a 24/7 period on a rota basis. We support flexible working arrangements, which can be discussed at interview.
Main duties of the job
The primary purpose is to provide mental health assessments, risk assessments, and treatment, focusing on high-quality assessment and treatment of patients presenting with mental health issues in a physical healthcare setting.
