Job summary

Biffa Waste Services is seeking an LGV Driver for the AM shift in Nottingham (NG4 2JR). You will operate front and back loaders on trade waste rounds, starting at 04:00 and finishing about 13:30, Monday to Friday with overtime available. This role suits someone who enjoys outdoor work and taking initiative to support local environmental services.

Qualifications

• Valid LGV/HGV Class 2 (Category C) driving licence.
• Valid Driver CPC / Driver Qualification Card.
• Good understanding of road safety and vehicle safety.
• Ability to complete daily vehicle checks and report defects.
• Good knowledge of drivers' hours and tachograph requirements.
• Ability to safely manoeuvre and operate a large rigid vehicle.
• Good communication and customer service skills.
• Good awareness of health & safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Drive LGV vehicles including front and back loaders to collect bins from trade waste customers.
• Work outdoors with initiative to support local environment and communities.
• Carry out daily vehicle checks and report defects.
