Job summary

Biffa Waste Services is seeking an LGV Driver for AM shift to operate front and back loaders, collecting trade waste across our service areas. You’ll work in a single-person crew, starting early, with occasional weekend work, and play a key part in keeping local environments clean and communities well-served.

You’ll be outdoors, using initiative, and benefiting from in-house training and employee perks. A valid LGV/HGV Class 2 licence and Driver CPC are essential, along with strong safety and

Qualifications

• Valid LGV/HGV Class 2 (Category C) driving licence.
• Valid Driver CPC / Driver Qualification Card.
• Good understanding of road safety and vehicle safety.
• Ability to perform daily vehicle checks and report defects.
• Knowledge of drivers' hours and tachograph requirements.
• Ability to safely manoeuvre a large rigid vehicle.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Awareness of health and safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Drive LGV vehicles including front and back loaders to collect trade waste.
• Work outdoors on a Monday–Friday schedule with occasional weekends.
• Demonstrate initiative and contribute to local environmental improvement.
