Job summary

South Ayrshire Council is hiring for a frontline waste collection operative with responsibilities for removing refuse from diverse locations and driving LGV refuse collection vehicles. You will work as part of a crew and be responsible for the vehicle and crew on a daily basis.

The role follows a frontline work pattern with day and back shifts, including weekend duty, and offers competitive salary, generous pension, and additional employee benefits.

Qualifications

• Experience of waste collection and operating LGV refuse collection vehicles.
• Ability to work as part of a team and adapt to front-line frontline duties.

Responsibilities

• Remove domestic, commercial and industrial refuse as part of a team.
• Drive LGV refuse collection and other waste management vehicles and oversee crew and vehicle daily.
