Collett & Sons have an exciting opportunity for a LGV Mechanic to join the team.

Location: Goole Depot, DN14 6UE

Job Type: Full - time, permanent

Hours: Anticipated normal working hours are Monday to Friday 08.00hrs to 17.00hrs. Overtime and weekend working is required by the demands of the business.

LGV Mechanic - The Role

• Inspect and repair vehicles, trailers and plant
• MOT preparation of vehicles and trailers
• Diagnose and rectify all types of faults
• Service and repair vehicles or components using appropriate equipment and tools
• Maintain current product knowledge and attend training courses as required
• Welding and fabrication of components in the scope of vehicle repair
• Any other reasonable duties as workload requires
  
  

LGV Mechanic - You

The following requirements are required:

• Full UK car license
• City & Guilds or NVQ qualified technician
• HGV service and repair experience
• The ability to organise work on own initiative and work under pressure
• Experience working with trailers, hydraulic systems and electrical systems
• Experience of Diagnostic computers
• Having a C+E (class 1) Licence would be preferred but not essential
• Self-motivated and an effective team player
• Positive approach to management of change
• Effective communicator at all levels
• Good time keeping skills
