Job Description:

Due to continued growth, my client based in Braintree, Essex, is recruiting for a Vehicle Mechanic to join their existing team. The successful Vehicle Mechanic will be responsible for servicing, maintaining, repairing, and carrying out pre-MOT checks on a range of vehicles including HGVs.

Vehicle Mechanic Responsibilities:

• Inspect vehicles to ensure all necessary service and maintenance are recorded and performed.
• Use computerized diagnostic machines to locate mechanical faults.
• Complete job cards and write reports regarding customer vehicle fleets.
• Carry out pre-MOT checks and complete MOT testing on vehicles.
• Diagnose faults in hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems and perform repairs.
• Follow health & safety procedures diligently.

Vehicle Mechanic Requirements:

• NVQ Level 3 in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent, with proven experience in a similar role.
• Experience working on HGV vehicles is essential.
• Basic electrical knowledge for fault diagnosis and rectification.
• Full and clean UK driving license.
