Job summary

GTG Training in Edinburgh is seeking an LGV Instructor to join our busy training centres, delivering practical driving instruction to DVSA standard and performing driving assessments.

You will have a category C&E entitlement for over three years, a background in training is desirable, and you will join our Instructor Training programme with two to four weeks of training. This role suits an experienced LGV driver seeking a new challenge.

Qualifications

• Must hold a Category C and E entitlement for over three years.
• Excellent communication skills and a patient approach.
• High accuracy in completing course paperwork.
• Ability to engage with a wide range of people confidently.
• Punctual and professional in appearance.

Responsibilities

• Carry out daily vehicle checks on training vehicles.
• Conduct driving assessments.
• Instruct candidates on vehicles (C1, C, C+E, PCV if qualified).
• Deliver Module 4 (initial DCPC) training.
• Complete all relevant course paperwork.
• Liaise with transport administrators and senior instructors.
