Job summary

Tarmac Trading Limited in Norwich is seeking an experienced LGV Driver to join our Readymix team delivering concrete across Norfolk. This permanent role combines driving with customer service, ensuring on-time, compliant deliveries and representing the company on site.

You will hold an LGV Class 1 licence with a valid Digital Tachograph Card and CPC/DQC qualification, with a proactive, reliable approach and solid health & safety awareness throughout your shifts.

Qualifications

• LGV/HGV Class 1 licence required.
• Digital Tachograph card required.
• CPC/DQC qualification required.
• Full UK driving role in Norfolk.

Responsibilities

• Safely delivering ready-mix concrete and other products to various sites.
• Liaising with the office for instructions and updates.
• Conducting regular vehicle checks and reporting defects.
• Ensuring loads are secure and transported legally.

As the face of Tarmac, you'll play a vital role in ensuring our products are delivered safely, efficiently and professionally to both residential and commercial customers.Key ResponsibilitiesYour day-to-day duties will include:Safely delivering ready-mix concrete and other products to various sitesCommunicating effectively with the office team for instructions and updatesConducting regular vehicle checks and reporting any defectsEnsuring all loads are secure and transported legallyAdhering to current driving regulations and company safety standardsAccurately recording load details on product ticketsLiaising with the Transport Manager for support and feedbackPlease note: Flexibility to work overtime and cover out-of-hours requirements is essential.What We’re Looking ForTo succeed in this role, you’ll ideally bring:Previous driving experience, preferably in a similar industryExperience with RMX mixers (beneficial but not essential)Strong understanding of Health & Safety proceduresA proactive, self-motivated attitude with the ability to work independently and as part of a teamExcellent communication and organisational skillsA flexible and adaptable approach to workEssential RequirementsLGV (HGV) Class 1 licenceValid Digital Tacho CardCPC / DQC Qualification CardThe role is based from our Tarmac Norwich site, in Norfolk and is easily commutable from Spixworth, Wymondham, Loddon, Aylsham, Hemsby, Great Yarmouth, Gorleston-on-Sea, Hopton, Lowestoft, Beccles, Dereham, Cromer, North Walsham and the surrounding areas.At Tarmac, ‘who you are’ matters.
