Job summary

New Forest District Council is hiring an LGV Driver/Loader/Team Leader for Hardley Depot to deliver essential waste services to residents, combining driving with loading duties and team supervision. Shifts 06:00–14:00 Mon–Thu and 06:00–13:30 Fri, with depots in Lymington and Ringwood.

Salary up to £33,515 per year incl market supplement and bank holidays; benefits include pension, parking, and employee support.

Qualifications

• Valid Class C LGV driving license.
• Driver CPC qualification.
• Substantive experience in waste/transport environment.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Drive LGV vehicle and assist with loading.
• Supervise and lead a small team of colleagues.
• Work at depots in Lymington and Ringwood.
• Follow health and safety training and procedures.
