Salford-Council is hiring, offering outdoor work as part of the Waste Collection team. This LGV Driver/Loader role requires a valid LGV licence with Driver CPC and readiness to work Tuesday to Friday, 6:30am to 4:15pm, at Turnpike House Depot, Salford.
You will drive the allocated vehicle and assist in collecting refuse, green waste, recyclables and waste from various sites, while keeping residents’ streets clean and safe. Training and development are encouraged.

We are looking for enthusiastic, highly motivated, and well organised individuals to join our waste collection service as a Waste Collection LGV Driver/Loader.
It is essential that you have a valid LGV driving licence with valid driver CPC card, and can work in all weather conditions, use basic tools e.g. brush and shovel, undertake written and verbal instructions, interpret route maps, use in-cab digital devices, be helpful, courteous and respectful to both customers and colleagues.
A willingness to undertake training and development is required and an ability to work flexibly in terms of hours and across different rounds and jobs.
