Job summary

Breedon Group in Inverness is seeking an LGV Driver for the Inverness Concrete Plant. You will operate Class 2 LGVs, deliver concrete and aggregates, perform loading/unloading, and maintain accurate paperwork and safety standards.

The role requires a valid Category C licence with Driver CPC, knowledge of local roads, and the ability to work flexibly, including nights and weekends. Training is provided, with a competitive benefits package and clear progression paths.

Qualifications

• Valid Category C or C+E licence and Driver CPC required.
• Experience as LGV driver preferred.
• Good knowledge of local road networks and route planning preferred.
• Excellent time management and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently under pressure.
• Willingness to learn and flexible to work evenings/weekends.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate LGV (Class 2) vehicles in line with UK road laws and company policies.
• Perform daily vehicle checks and report faults.
• Load and unload goods using appropriate handling techniques.
• Deliver concrete, coatings, and aggregates to customers or depots on time with accurate paperwork.
• Maintain communication with Distribution about delays or route changes.
• Ensure load security during transit and complete delivery logs.
