Job summary

Breedon Group is seeking an enthusiastic LGV Driver to join the Transport and Logistics team in Dunbeg. You will deliver concrete, coated asphalt, and aggregates to customers and depots, ensuring paperwork is accurate and deliveries comply with UK laws.

Full training provided; requires a valid Category C or C+E licence with Driver CPC, flexibility to work nights/weekends, and a commitment to safety and customer service.

Qualifications

• Valid Category C or C+E licence and Driver CPC.
• Experience as an LGV driver preferred.
• Knowledge of local roads and route planning.
• Excellent time management and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and under pressure.
• Flexible hours with occasional nights and weekends.
• Interest in construction materials and a willingness to learn.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate LGV (Class 2) vehicles in line with UK laws and company policies.
• Perform daily vehicle checks and report faults.
• Load and unload goods using appropriate handling techniques.
• Deliver concrete, coated asphalt, and aggregates to customers or depots on time with accurate paperwork.
• Maintain contact with Distribution regarding delays or route changes.
• Ensure load security during transit and complete delivery logs.
• Provide excellent customer service and represent Breedon professionally.
• Ensure deliveries comply with health, safety and environmental standards.
• Contribute to a flexible team approach, including occasional nights and weekends.
