Job summary

Recruit4staff are representing a well-established waste management business in their search for an LGV Driver to work in Rowley Regis. You will be responsible for completing routes while safely navigating narrow streets and tight roads, including loading/unloading goods and ensuring paperwork accuracy.

The role starts at 5am, is permanent, with pay £14.88 per hour and up to £168 in monthly bonuses for compliance and safety. Overtime after 40 hours at 1.5x, plus development opportunities.

Qualifications

• HGV/LGV driving experience required.
• Valid Class 1 or 2 licence required.
• Valid Digital Tachograph Driver Card required.
• Experience navigating large vehicles down tight, narrow lanes is essential.

Responsibilities

• Complete routes while safely navigating narrow streets and tight roads.
• Load and unload goods and perform vehicle safety checks.
• Secure loads and complete all required paperwork.
• Maintain contact with transport office and meet scheduled delivery times.
• Follow drivers' hours and tachograph regulations and safety procedures.

Job Role

As a LGV Driver, you will be responsible for completing routes while safely navigating narrow streets and tight roads. The role will involve loading and unloading goods, completing vehicle safety checks, securing loads, completing all required paperwork. The LGV Driver will also be expected to keep in regular contact with the transport office, meet scheduled delivery times and follow all relevant road safety, drivers' hours and tachograph regulations.

Essential Skills, Experience, or Qualifications

• Previous HGV/LGV driving experience
• Valid Class 1 or 2 licence
• Valid Digital Tachograph Driver Card
• Experience navigating large vehicles down tight, narrow lanes

Advantageous Skills, Experience, or Qualifications

• Previous experience driving Skip Loaders or Refuse Trucks

Additional Information

• Up to £168 in bonuses per month

• Vehicle faults or damage must be reported promptly
• The HGV Class 2 Driver will be expected to follow all company procedures and maintain high standards of safety
