Job summary

E3 Recruitment is seeking an experienced LGV Driver for a well-established building product manufacturer in the Castleford area. The role involves safely operating Class 1 vehicles, performing daily checks and ensuring loads are secured.

You will join a team with long-term progression, with regular hours Mon-Fri 6:00am-4:30pm, and overtime at enhanced rates. Commutable from surrounding towns; CPC may be beneficial.

Qualifications

• Valid C+E (Class 1 HGV/LGV) licence required.
• Understanding of vehicle safety checks, load security and safe systems of work.
• Reliable, self-motivated and safety-conscious with good communication.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate LGV/HGV vehicles in accordance with company procedures and road traffic legislation.
• Complete daily vehicle checks and report any defects promptly.
• Ensure all loads are secured correctly and transported safely.
• Complete delivery documentation and maintain accurate records.
• Work closely with site and transport teams to ensure efficient loading and delivery schedules.
• Maintain high standards of housekeeping and adhere to all health & safety procedures.
• Ensure the vehicle is kept clean, safe and in good working condition.

• Circa £43,900.
• Hours of work: Monday - Friday, 6:00am - 4:30pm.
• Overtime paid at 1.5x to 2.0x, depending on workload and working times.

Requirements as an LGV/HGV Driver;
