Job summary

A well-established building product manufacturer is seeking an LGV Driver in Castleford. The role offers a stable, long-term position with excellent overtime potential and progression opportunities.

Typical hours are 6:00am–4:30pm, Monday to Friday, with overtime paid at 1.5x to 2.0x depending on workload. This is a full-time role in Castleford, commutable from surrounding towns.

Qualifications

• Valid C+E (Class 1 HGV/LGV) driving licence – essential.
• Good understanding of vehicle safety checks, load security and safe systems of work.
• Reliable, self-motivated and safety-conscious with good communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate LGV/HGV vehicles in accordance with company procedures and road traffic legislation.
• Complete daily vehicle checks and report any defects promptly.
• Ensure all loads are secured correctly and transported safely.
• Complete delivery documentation and maintain accurate records.
• Work closely with site and transport teams to ensure efficient loading and delivery schedules.
• Maintain high standards of housekeeping and adhere to all health & safety procedures.
• Ensure the vehicle is kept clean, safe and in good working condition.
