About the Role

We are currently recruiting for an LGV Driver to join our Readymix RMX team working across the Norfolk area. As the LGV Driver, you will work actively within your area and be the face of Tarmac to our customers and the public.

Main Responsibilities

Duties of the LGV Driver include:

• Safe and secure delivery of ready-mix concrete and other products to residential and commercial customers.
• Working alone and as part of a team, communicating with a busy office for instructions and information.
• Regular vehicle checks, noting and highlighting defects to the fitter and office.
• Undertaking journeys safely and legally, checking and securing loads.
• Working in accordance with current driving regulations.
• Recording load details on product tickets.
• Complying with company standards and procedures, and maintaining contact with the Transport Manager for feedback and support.

Overtime may be required to cover out-of-hours needs.

The Ideal Candidate

The successful candidate will have driving experience, preferably within a similar industry. They will also:

• Possess experience with site work and RMX mixers is beneficial but not essential.
• Have knowledge of health and safety policies.
• Be motivated, independent, and a team player.
• Be flexible and adaptable.
• Have excellent communication and organizational skills.

• LGV (HGV) Class 1 license
• Digital Tacho Card
• CPC / DQC Qualification Card

Location

This role is based at our Tarmac Beccles site in Suffolk, accessible from Wymondham, Norwich, Great Yarmouth, Gorleston-on-Sea, Hopton, Lowestoft, Acle, Beccles, Halesworth, Harleston, and surrounding areas.
