Milton

We are currently looking for an enthusiastic individual to join our Distribution team in the position of LGV Driver based at our Milton site.

The purpose of this role is to facilitate the company's delivery strategy by driving a company LGV livered delivery vehicle and operating to the high standards of professionalism and safety set out by Forterra.

An LGV Driver will not be just a driver but a company representative. The role is critical to our first-class customer service offering, as you will be one of the initial points of contact for our business.

This role involves climbing and manual handling; therefore, good physical fitness is essential.

Your duties will include but are not limited to:

1. Comply with LGV Drivers Hours Regulations
2. Ensure that the company's undertakings regarding Goods Vehicle Operator Licensing are not breached
3. Comply with all legislation relating to the Road Traffic Act and other relevant legislation
4. Follow all health & safety legislation and company policies
5. Complete deliveries as instructed
6. Communicate any relevant issues to the appropriate parties
7. Drive in a fuel-efficient, safe, and conscious manner
8. Average of 2 nights out per week
9. Perform any other relevant duties as requested by management

About You

• You will need a current LGV license
• Good geographical knowledge

• Ability to work within set time frames
• Basic understanding of health, safety, and risk assessment
