Job summary

apetito Wiltshire Farm Foods is hiring a professional driver to deliver finished frozen meals to care homes, Local Authorities and hospitals across the UK. Start times range from 04:00 to 08:00, with a guaranteed 160–200 hours per calendar month and a 40-hour week, five days in seven including bank holidays.

You will be the face of apetito, providing excellent customer service and maintaining vehicle integrity.

Qualifications

• Essential LGV Class C Licence (ideally 2+ years).
• Strong knowledge of drivers hours, working time directive and tachographs.
• CPC qualification and good understanding of road transport regulations.
• Operational knowledge of modern commercial vehicles.
• Good geographical knowledge of the UK and numeracy/literacy.
• Excellent people and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Undertake pre-shift vehicle inspections and checks.
• Comply with drivers’ hours, tachographs and road regulations.
• Drive in a damage-free, economical style.
• Deliver goods punctually and update transport on delays.
• Serve as an ambassador for apetito with customers.
• Report issues to transport or customer service teams.
• Carry out minor vehicle service tasks and refuelling.
• Keep vehicle clean inside and out.
• Deliver to customer points of need and assist with collections as required.
• Participate in daily debriefs to identify safety and service improvements.
