apetito is the UK’s leading supplier of food and catering solutions to care homes, local authorities and hospitals. This professional driver role delivers Finished Frozen Meals to Care Homes, Local Authorities, Hospitals and Wiltshire Farm Foods franchisees from our Portbury base.

Start times vary 04.00am–08.00am, based on a 40 hour week with a focus on on-time delivery and excellent service. You will perform vehicle checks, comply with hours regulations, and serve as the face of apetito on the

Qualifications

• Essential: LGV Class C+E Licence (ideally 2 years)
• Essential: Driving experience (2-3 years)
• Essential: Understanding of drivers hours regulations, working time directive and tachographs
• Essential: Knowledge of modern commercial vehicles
• Essential: Good UK geographical knowledge
• Essential: Numerate and literate
• Essential: CPC

Responsibilities

• Undertake pre-shift vehicle inspections
• Comply with drivers’ hours, tachographs and road regulations
• Drive with damage-free, economical style
• Deliver goods timely and report discrepancies
• Deliver to customers’ point of need and provide excellent service
• Be an ambassador for apetito
• Report issues to transport office or customer service
• Carry out minor vehicle maintenance tasks
• Maintain clean vehicles inside and out
• Coordinate vehicle delivery/collection with rental suppliers
• Inspect hire vehicles pre/post rental
• Participate in daily debriefs to identify safety and service improvements
