• Ensuring the roadworthiness, safekeeping, and cleanliness of the allocated vehicle.
• Completing daily pre-use inspection check sheets for the vehicle and any specialised equipment used as part of daily work.
• Operating specialized BOC equipment such as forklifts or cranes for loading and unloading vehicles, if necessary.
• Applying defensive driving techniques and knowledge of commercial driving regulations to ensure the safe transit and delivery of cylinders.
• Delivering approximately 15-20 gas cylinders per day to customers in the area.
• Using safe cylinder manual handling techniques to deliver and collect cylinders from customers.
• Adhering to strict Health & Safety operational procedures.

What makes you great

• You hold an HGV/LGV Cat C license.
• ADR (Class 2 in packages) is desirable; training will be provided where appropriate.
• A driver CPC is required.
• Knowledge of defensive driving and driver regulations, including HSA regulations.
• Ability to interact effectively with internal and external customers.
• A high level of personal integrity that aligns with your profile.
• Having held the LGV entitlement for a minimum of 2 years for insurance purposes.
