Job Responsibilities

1. Ensuring the road worthiness, safekeeping, and cleanliness of allocated vehicles.
2. Completing daily pre-use inspection check sheets for vehicles and specialised equipment.
3. Operating special equipment such as forklifts or cranes for loading and unloading, if necessary.
4. Applying defensive driving techniques and adhering to commercial driving regulations to ensure safe transit and delivery of cylinders.
5. Delivering approximately 15-20 gas cylinders daily to customers.
6. Using safe manual handling techniques to deliver and collect cylinders from customers.
7. Adhering to strict Health & Safety operational protocols.

Candidate Requirements

• Holding an HGV/LGV Cat C license.
• ADR (Class 2 in packages) desirable; training provided where appropriate.
• Driver CPC certification required.
• Knowledge of defensive driving and driver regulations, including HSA regulations.
• Ability to interact effectively with internal and external customers.
• High level of personal integrity.
• Minimum of 2 years holding LGV entitlement for insurance purposes.
