Job summary

The Best Connection are recruiting Class 1 (LGV CE/HGV) Drivers for ongoing work in Normanton (WF6). The role involves trunking between RDCs, box trailers with tail lifts, and delivering across the UK, representing a respected national brand.

Day and night shifts available, Monday to Friday patterns, with start times from early morning to afternoon. A valid licence, CPC, Tachograph card and clean licence are required to join our reliable team.

Qualifications

• Valid Class 1 (CE) licence.
• At least 1 year of Class 1 driving experience.
• In-date Driver CPC qualification.
• Digital Tachograph Card.
• No more than 6 penalty points.
• Confidence in reversing and manoeuvring large vehicles.

Responsibilities

• Complete 2–3 store deliveries or trunking runs between RDCs.
• Operate box trailers with tail lifts and curtain-sided vehicles.
• Ensure deliveries arrive on time and in excellent condition.
• Represent a highly respected national brand professionally.
• Support an efficient and reliable UK supply chain.

Class 1 (LGV CE / HGV) Driver

Normanton (WF6) | Full-Time | Ongoing Work | Monday to Friday

The Best Connection are currently recruiting reliable and professional Class 1 (LGV CE / HGV) Drivers for a well-established client based in Normanton (WF6).

The Role

As a Class 1 Driver, you will play a key role in supporting a leading national logistics operation by:

• Completing 2-3 store deliveries or trunking runs between RDCs
• Operating box trailers with tail lifts (cage work) and curtain-sided vehicles
• Ensuring deliveries arrive safely, on time, and in excellent condition
• Representing a highly respected national brand professionally
• Supporting an efficient and reliable UK supply chain

This is an important role where your work directly contributes to keeping shelves stocked and customers satisfied across the UK.

Requirements

To be considered, you need:

• A valid Class 1 (Category CE) licence
• At least 1 year's Class 1 driving experience
• An in-date Driver CPC qualification
• A valid Digital Tachograph Card
• No more than 6 penalty points (no major endorsements)
• -onfidence in reversing and manoeuvring large vehicles

Shift Patterns

Day shifts: 04:00 - 06:00 start times

Night shifts: 14:00 - 17:00 start times

Regular Monday to Friday work

Preferred start times accommodated wherever possible

Pay Rates (plus holiday pay accrual)

Days: £15.00 per hour

Nights: £17.19 per hour

Bank Holidays: £22.34 per hour
