Job summary

Metcalfe Farms Haulage Ltd is seeking multiformed C+E drivers for our heavy haulage operations across the UK and Europe. Full training is provided for movement of abnormal loads and bulk goods, with a strong focus on safety and professionalism.

The role requires route planning, night shifts 4–5 nights per week, and weekend work when needed. A competitive salary is offered, with pension, parking and development opportunities.

Qualifications

• Valid C+E driving licence and Driver CPC card.
• Digital tachograph card and knowledge of driver hours regulations.
• Experience moving plant, machinery or bulk is an advantage; training provided.
• Ability to prioritise, cope under pressure and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Operate heavy haulage vehicles across the UK and Europe with in-house training.
• Plan routes and work away from home 4 to 5 nights per week.
• Be able to work weekends when required and maintain safety compliance.
• Contribute to a professional, team‑oriented working environment.

Role

We have opportunities for C+E drivers to join our heavy haulage, automotive and bulk haulage teams. We operating a fleet of 100 vehicles. We specialise in the movement of abnormal loads, trucks, vans & 4x4's and bulk loads across the UK and Europe, providing transport for various blue-chip companies and the MOD. Full inhouse training provided.

Key aspects of the role

• Work safely, comply with health and safety legislation, and insist others do the same.
• Are practical and have basic mechanical understanding.
• Are able to plan routes.
• Are able to work away from home, including 4 to 5 nights out a week.
• Are able to work weekends when required.
• Experience using Microsoft and Outlook.

Requirements

The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate an ability to prioritise, cope under pressure and work to strict deadlines.

Qualifications required

• Hold a valid C+E driving Licence.
• Hold a current Driver CPC card.
• Hold a digital tachograph card.
• Knowledge of driver hours regulations.
• Experience in moving plant, machinery or bulk would be an advantage but is not necessary as full training will be provided.

Additional requirements

• HGV C+E licence held for over 2 years.
• No more than 6 licence points.
