Job summary

METCALFE FARMS HAULAGE is seeking a dedicated C+E driver to join our bulk haulage team. We operate a fleet focused on TASCC & Aggregate loads across the UK and Europe, with full inhouse training provided.

The role requires planning routes, maintaining safety, and staying away 4–5 nights weekly, including weekends when needed. Experience with bulk transport is advantageous but not essential.

Qualifications

• Hold a valid C+E driving Licence.
• Hold a current Driver CPC card.
• Hold a digital tachograph card.
• Knowledge of driver hours regulations.
• Experience in moving bulk would be an advantage but is not necessary as full training will be provided.

Responsibilities

• Drive bulk haulage operations across the UK and Europe.
• Plan routes and work away 4 to 5 nights a week.
• Work weekends when required, maintaining safety and compliance.
• Operate effectively as part of a team and with minimal supervision.
• Utilise Microsoft Outlook for communications and scheduling.

The Role

We have opportunities for C+E drivers to join our bulk haulage team.

We operating a fleet of 100 vehicles. We specialise in the movement of bulk (TASCC & Aggregate) loads across the UK and Europe. Full inhouse training provided.

Key aspects of the role include:

• Demonstrate a respectful, positive attitude towards others and behave in an honest and open manner.
• Work effectively as part of a team and under their own initiative.
• Work safely, comply with health and safety legislation, and insist others do the same.
• Are practical and have basic mechanical understanding.
• Are able to plan routes.
• Are able to work away from home, including 4 to 5 nights out a week
• Are able to work weekends when required.
• Experience using Microsoft and Outlook

Requirements

The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate an ability to prioritise, cope under pressure and work to strict deadlines.

Qualifications required:

• Hold a valid C+E driving Licence
• Hold a current Driver CPC card.
• Hold a digital tachograph card.
• Knowledge of driver hours regulations
• Experience in moving bulk would be an advantage but is not necessary as full training will be provided

Additional requirements:

• HGV C+E licence held for over 2 years
• No more than 6 licence points
