Job summary

FORDE RECRUITMENT LIMITED is recruiting LGV C+E drivers for nationwide deliveries from our Barnsley distribution site. You will operate Class 1 vehicles, manage transport paperwork, and comply with Driver Hours regulations, aiming for fuel-efficient driving.

Expect up to 2 nights out per week, supportive on-call team, weekly pay, and opportunities for longer shifts or permanent roles. Immediate starts available.

Qualifications

• Hold a full HGV C+E driving licence.
• Minimum 24 months' driving experience.
• Good level of English speaking and written communication.
• Max 6 points on licence (minor offences only accepted).
• Possess UK Driving Licence, Digi Tachograph Card, and CPC Card.

Responsibilities

• Drive nationwide safely in Class 1 / LGV C+E vehicles.
• Complete transport administration and comply with Driver Hours rules.
• Perform pre- and post-vehicle checks.
• Occasional nights out; up to 2 per week.

Job description

Our client, a national courier and logistics company are seeking a number of Class 1/ LGV C+E Drivers to join their Team.

Based out of their Distribution Site in Barnsley manufacturing site you will be responsible for completing deliveries nationally in a variety of vehicle classes.

LGV C+E Driver Job Description:

As a Class 1 / LGV C+E Driver, you will be responsible for safe and efficient transportation across the country. Key duties include completing necessary transport administration, driving in a fuel-efficient manner, ensuring compliance with all EU Driver Hours and RTD Regulations, adhering to safe systems of work, and conducting pre and post vehicle checks. You will be expected to carryout a potential of 2 nights our per week with more available if preferred.

LGV C+E Driver Rates (PAYE):

Mon - Fri £17.27

Requirements:

• Hold a full HGV C+E driving licence.
• Possess a minimum of 24 months' driving experience for Driver Negligible Incident (DNI).
• Demonstrate a good level of English speaking and written communication skills.
• Have a maximum of 6 points on your licence for minor offenses (DD, TT, DR, CD, IN endorsements will not be accepted).
• Possess a UK Driving Licence, Digi Tachograph Card, and CPC Card.
• Ability to complete at least 2 nights out per week
