Job summary

Forde Recruitment Ltd is seeking Class 1 / LGV C+E Drivers for our client’s national courier network, based at the Barnsley distribution site. You will handle nationwide deliveries across various vehicle classes and manage transport administration in line with driver hours regulations.

Typical shifts are 45 hours per week with potential two nights out; overtime paid at 1.5x. Immediate starts, weekly pay, and possible temp-to-perm opportunities are provided.

Qualifications

• English speaking and written communication skills.
• Full HGV C+E driving licence (Class 1).
• UK Driving Licence, Digi Tachograph Card and CPC Card required.

Responsibilities

• Safely and efficiently transport goods nationwide.
• Complete transport administration as required.
• Carry out pre- and post-vehicle checks and comply with driver hours regulations.
• Occasional 2 nights out per week; more if desired.

Job description

Our client, a national courier and logistics company are seeking a number of Class 1/ LGV C+E Drivers to join their Team.

Based out of their Distribution Site in Barnsley manufacturing site you will be responsible for completing deliveries nationally in a variety of vehicle classes.

LGV C+E Driver Job Description:

As a Class 1 / LGV C+E Driver, you will be responsible for safe and efficient transportation across the country. Key duties include completing necessary transport administration, driving in a fuel-efficient manner, ensuring compliance with all EU Driver Hours and RTD Regulations, adhering to safe systems of work, and conducting pre and post vehicle checks. You will be expected to carryout a potential of 2 nights our per week with more available if preferred.

Requirements:

• Hold a full HGV C+E driving licence.
• Possess a minimum of 24 months' driving experience for Driver Negligible Incident (DNI).
• Demonstrate a good level of English speaking and written communication skills.
• Have a maximum of 6 points on your licence for minor offenses (DD, TT, DR, CD, IN endorsements will not be accepted).
• Possess a UK Driving Licence, Digi Tachograph Card, and CPC Card.
• Ability to complete at least 2 nights out per week
• Driving an HGV - Class 1 vehicle.
• No handballing required.
• Clean and well-maintained work environment.
