Job summary

Biffa Group is seeking a LGV Driver for the PM shift in trade waste operations. You will drive LGV vehicles (Class 2) to collect and empty bins, working a 45-hour week with start times between 13:00 and 14:00.

The role requires a valid UK Category C (Class 2) licence, CPC, tachograph card, and a solid understanding of drivers’ hours and safety regulations. This position offers outdoor work and a chance to contribute to community environmental improvements.

Qualifications

• Valid UK Category C (Class 2) driving licence.
• CPC and Digital Tachograph Card.
• Good understanding of drivers’ hours and road transport legislation.
• Health and safety awareness and following procedures.
• Good communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Flexible and reliable with good timekeeping.
• Ability to carry out vehicle safety checks and report defects.
• Commitment to safe and responsible driving.
• Previous LGV Class 2 driving experience desirable.

Responsibilities

• Drive LGV vehicles including front and back loaders to collect and empty bins.
• Work outdoors as part of a single-person crew, fulfilling duties in trade waste collection.
• Maintain vehicle condition and report defects to ensure safe operations.

Job description

LGV Driver - PM SHIFT (Trade Waste)

Pay rate: £16.87p/h + back shift allowance

Monday - Friday (45 hours per week)

Start Time: between 13.00 and 14.00

Working as part of a single person crew, you will drive various modes of LGV vehicles including front and back loaders, collecting and emptying bins, from our trade waste customers.
