Job summary

Biffa Group is seeking a LGV 2 Driver for PM shifts (Mon-Fri) in the Southampton area. You will operate LGV Class 2 vehicles on trade waste routes, perform daily vehicle checks, and ensure safe, efficient service in outdoor environments.

The role emphasizes working with initiative, contributing to the local environment and communities, with in-house training and sector-leading perks. A competitive hourly pay is offered.

Qualifications

• Valid LGV/HGV Class 2 (Category C) driving licence.
• Valid Driver CPC / Driver Qualification Card.
• Good understanding of road safety and vehicle safety.
• Ability to complete daily vehicle checks and report defects.
• Good knowledge of drivers' hours and tachograph requirements.
• Ability to safely manoeuvre and operate a large rigid vehicle.
• Good communication and customer service skills.
• Good awareness of health & safety procedures.

Responsibilities

Job description

LGV 2 Driver - PM Shift

Monday to Friday

Pay: £19.46p/h + Back Shift Allowance

Start Time: 13.30

Working as part of a single person crew, you will drive various modes of LGV vehicles including front and back loaders, collecting and emptying bins, from our trade waste customers.

This is a great job if you like to work using your own initiative in the outdoors, carrying out a role where you can make a difference to the local environment and communities.
