LGV 2 Driver

Location: Weston Super Mare Depot

Salary: £36,205 + meal allowance (£5 per day) + £1k retention bonus

Start Time: 04:00

Shift: 4 Days (48hrs)

Keenan Recycling, part of Biffa, provides food waste collection services for businesses including restaurants, hotels, care homes, hospitals, and prisons. We also collect food waste on behalf of waste management companies, brokers, and councils. Using high-end technology, we transport food waste to anaerobic digestion plants, converting it into biogas for electricity, heat, or biofuel.

Role: As an LGV Driver, you will be responsible for collecting and emptying food waste wheelie bins on a multi-collection basis. This physically demanding role requires early starts, outdoor work in all weather conditions, and the ability to work independently. It’s ideal for those who enjoy outdoor work and making a positive environmental impact.

Duties include:

1. Multi-collections of food waste wheelie bins
2. Providing excellent customer service
3. Occasional weekend work
4. Additional duties as needed

Key skills & experience:

• Class C Licence
• Valid Digital Tachograph
• Valid DQCPC Card
• Proven safe and efficient driving record
• Ability to take ownership of tasks and prioritize
