Job description

Location: Salisbury Depot

Salary: £36,205 + meal allowance (£5 per day) + £1k retention bonus

Start Time: 04:00

Shift: 4 Days (48hrs)

Keenan Recycling, part of Biffa, provides food waste collection services for businesses including restaurants, hotels, care homes, hospitals, and prisons. We also collect food waste on behalf of waste management companies, brokers, and councils. Using advanced technology, we convert food waste into biogas at anaerobic digestion plants, which can be used for electricity, heat, or biofuel for transport.

The role of an LGV Driver involves collecting and emptying food waste wheelie bins on a multi-collection basis.

This is a physically demanding role requiring early starts, outdoor work in all weather conditions, and the ability to work independently. It offers an opportunity to contribute positively to the environment and communities.

Responsibilities:

• Multi-collections of food waste wheelie bins
• Providing excellent customer service
• Weekend work coverage where applicable
• Additional duties as necessary

Key Skills & Experience:

• Class C Licence
• Valid Digital Tachograph
