As a Leveraged Loans Transaction Management Specialist within the Credit Products Delivery team, you will serve as a middle office transaction-management partner for clients of the Commercial & Investment Bank. Your role will involve providing expertise in the negotiation and review of credit facility documentation and managing end-to-end transactions for leveraged loan products. You will work closely with JP Morgan's client coverage teams, Risk partners, internal & external legal counsel, and agent banks.

Job responsibilities
  1. Deliver best-in-class management of loan documentation negotiations as an integral component of the broader transaction execution process for credit facilities and ancillary legal documentation, particularly for corporate clients, including oversight of the deal-closing process.
  2. Coordinate with clients (or their legal counsel) and internal stakeholders such as Front Office Bankers and Credit Risk Officers to review and support the negotiation of legal documentation.
  3. Liaise with internal/external counsel in the review of facility documentation on behalf of JP Morgan.
  4. Utilize transactional, geographic, and sectoral expertise to suggest mitigants/solutions for internal stakeholders, ensuring timely involvement to reach resolutions.
  5. Operate within the internal controls framework, including preparing and coordinating approvals for documentation deviations during negotiations.
  6. Contribute to and drive wider projects and initiatives impacting the role and team.
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
  1. Deep technical knowledge of loan documentation, especially LMA Syndicated Facilities and Financial Sponsor precedent terms.
  2. Strong understanding of lending products and legal agreements.
  3. Ability to identify problems and escalate promptly.
  4. Excellent coordination skills with a focus on risk and controls.
  5. Proven organizational skills, ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines, with strong prioritization skills.
  6. Excellent communication skills—verbal, written, and interpersonal—capable of interacting professionally with stakeholders globally.
  7. Confident, proactive, assertive, and energetic.
  8. High standards of performance and adaptability to a changing environment.
  9. Strategic and tactical thinking for process improvements, with flexibility for new regulations and priorities.
  10. Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
  • Experience from law firms or in-house counsel/paralegal backgrounds.
