Job summary

Mizuho International plc. in London seeks an Analyst in the Sponsor Coverage & Leverage Finance (SCLF) origination team. You will support the execution of leveraged finance transactions and collaborate with credit, capital markets and syndication functions.

The role emphasizes credit analysis, presentation skills and teamwork, with the opportunity to contribute to client pitches and internal credit processes. Hybrid working is available and a competitive package with discretionary bonus.

Qualifications

• University Degree or equivalent.
• Strong credit and analytical skills.
• Self motivated, result driven work ethic and strong communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to remain calm and balanced under pressure.
• Background in origination focused leveraged finance teams of banks or debt funds with intent to move to a bank.

Responsibilities

• Support associates/VPs in preparation of internal credit screening and credit applications.
• Coordinate internal & back office processes surrounding transaction execution.
• Prepare presentations/pitch books for client calls and meetings.
• Support origination efforts and monitor deal pipeline.
• Work with capital markets during execution of bookrunner roles and syndication materials.
