Job description

To start: September term 2025 (Date TBC)

The Governors of Tywyn Primary School wish to appoint a responsible, reliable person for the post of Teaching Assistant. The post will require the successful applicant to work with groups of children and form part of a team of teaching assistants working across foundation phase and KS2. The post holder will also provide PPA, SEN, and staff professional development cover across all age ranges.

The Governors are seeking the following skills and personal qualities:

  1. Enthusiasm and self-motivation.
  2. Excellent literacy and numeracy skills.
  3. Good people skills with adults and children.
  4. Qualified to NVQ Level 4 or equivalent in a related childcare discipline.
