Job description

Prospero Teaching are recruiting on behalf of a specialist high school in Failsworth, Greater Manchester who are looking for a suitably qualified Level 4 HLTA to join their team.

The school is for children in KS3 (aged 13-15 years old) with significant social, emotional and mental health difficulties. Students attending may have witnessed developmental trauma, and the centre focuses on a tailored approach to learning.

The role of the HLTA is to deliver planned lessons and interventions to small groups of students in the absence of a teacher. For this reason, the chosen candidate will be suitably qualified and experienced.

The school is looking for someone who is confident, dedicated, and excels in behaviour management.

The role will consist of:

• Providing tailored support and working with children with SEN (special educational needs)
• Creating a safe environment that allows the children to have fun, learn, and succeed
• Academic support on a 1:1 basis or in small groups
• Assisting the teacher

The Ideal Candidate:

• Experience of supporting pupils with SEN on a voluntary or paid basis
• Location – Oldham, Greater Manchester
• Position – Level 4 Teaching Assistant (HLTA)
• Contract Type – Temporary (with possible permanent opportunities)
• Hours – Term Time only, Monday – Friday
• Start Date – ASAP
