Job summary

Hollinwood Academy is seeking a dedicated education professional to plan and deliver learning activities across a range of subjects, with a particular focus on pupils with SEND.

You will work within a supportive school team to raise attainment, monitor pupil progress, and build positive relationships with pupils, staff, parents and the wider community.

The role requires resilience, teamwork, and commitment to ongoing professional development to help all learners achieve their potential.

Qualifications

• Previous experience of planning and delivering learning activities across a range of curriculum subject areas.
• Specific experience/interest in working with pupils with SEND.
• High expectations of young people and a commitment to raising attainment to ensure they can achieve their full educational potential.
• Experience of developing options and alternatives that will support children and young people to engage in the learning process.
• Experience of enhancement of pupil progress and raising attainment and achievement in all pupils.
• Experience of current assessment practice and the use of data and pupil progress tracking to ensure that all groups of learners achieve.
• Experience of managing challenging behaviour.
• Emotional and physical resilience necessary when working with challenging young people with a range of complex needs.
• The ability to foster positive relationships with other staff, pupils, parents and the wider community.
• The willingness to be a team player who can work effectively with all members of the school team.
• Be hardworking, organised and proactive in their own professional development.
