Job summary

William Reynolds Primary School and Nursery, part of Four Hills Education Trust, seeks a dedicated Teaching Assistant Level 3 to join our supportive team. You will assist in planning and delivering learning activities and support pupils individually and in small groups.

The role is term-time only, 8:30am–3:30pm, with a fixed-term one-year contract starting September/October 2026. You should have a Level 3 TA qualification or equivalent, strong literacy and numeracy, and a commitment to

Qualifications

• A Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or an equivalent recognised qualification).
• Strong literacy and numeracy skills, including GCSE English and Maths (Grade 4/C or above, or equivalent).
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with pupils, parents and colleagues.
• Commitment to safeguarding, inclusion and promoting welfare of children and young people.

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning and delivering learning activities.
• Support pupils individually and in groups to enhance learning.
• Help prepare and organise classroom resources and learning materials.
• Monitor and record pupil progress and provide feedback to teachers.
• Promote positive behaviour and classroom engagement.
• Build positive relationships with pupils to encourage confidence and independence.
• Support pupils' emotional well-being and personal development.
