Job summary

GSL Education is seeking a Level 3 Teaching Assistant for a welcoming primary school in Sheffield. You will provide classroom support across the school day, working closely with the class teacher to help pupils learn, stay engaged and build confidence.

Immediate start for a long-term role with flexible hours. Applicants must have Level 3 TA qualification, the right to work in the UK, and an enhanced DBS (or be willing to apply).

Qualifications

• Experience working with children in a primary school setting.
• Understanding of EYFS, KS1 and KS2 learning environments.
• Right to work in the UK with an up-to-date CV and two references.
• Enhanced DBS registered with Update Service or willing to apply.

Responsibilities

• Support pupils across EYFS, KS1 or KS2 with their learning.
• Deliver classroom activities alongside the class teacher.
• Provide targeted one-to-one and small-group support.
• Assist with phonics, reading, writing and numeracy activities.
• Help pupils develop confidence and positive learning habits.
• Support behaviour and pastoral needs.
• Prepare and organise classroom resources.
• Monitor pupils' progress and observe/report to teacher.

Salary: £460 – £600 per week (depending on experience and qualifications)

Are you a qualified Level 3 Teaching Assistant who enjoys helping children develop their skills and confidence? A welcoming primary school in Sheffield is looking for a dedicated Teaching Assistant to provide valuable classroom support across the school day.

About the Role

As a Level 3 Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with the class teacher to support pupils with their learning and development. You will assist with classroom activities, provide one-to-one and small-group support, and help children stay engaged and confident in their learning.

The role may involve supporting pupils across EYFS, KS1 or KS2, depending on the needs of the school. You will also contribute to positive classroom routines and provide appropriate pastoral and behavioural support when required.

• A genuine commitment to helping children achieve their potential.

To work with GSL Education as a Level 3 Teaching Assistant, you should:

• Have the right to work in the UK.
• Have an up-to-date CV with two relevant references from within the last two years.
• Have an enhanced DBS registered to the Update Service or be willing to apply for one through GSL Education.
