Job summary

Protocol Education are recruiting a Level 3 Teaching Assistant in Gateshead to support pupils with physical and medical needs in a specialist SEND environment. You will assist with learning through assistive technology, equipment, and accessible ICT, under the guidance of specialist teachers.

The role involves delivering adapted activities, encouraging independence, and helping pupils access education. You will work across settings with a flexible, proactive approach and must have a Level 3 TA

Qualifications

• Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent.
• Previous SEND or specialist education experience.
• Experience supporting children with physical and/or medical needs.
• Good ICT skills and confidence using technology.
• Willingness to learn how to use specialist equipment.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Good organisation and record-keeping.
• Flexible approach to working across different settings.
• Full, clean driving licence and access to a vehicle is essential.

Protocol Education are working with a specialist provision in Gateshead to recruit a TA to support children and young people with physical and/or medical needs.

You'll provide practical and educational support while helping pupils access learning through assistive technology, specialist equipment and accessible ICT.
