Swinton Academy is seeking an ambitious Level 3 Teaching Assistant to support learning and teaching within the academy and the Enhanced Resource. You will assist the teacher with planning, resource preparation, and implementing work programmes both inside and outside the classroom.

You will supervise classes, provide pastoral support, monitor progress, and help pupils access learning. The role may involve working at other academies within the trust; a strong commitment to promoting positive

• Ambitious and enthusiastic Level 3 Teaching Assistant.
• Support access to learning for pupils by assisting the teacher, including resource management and planning within and outside the classroom.
• Implement agreed work programmes and participate in the planning cycle.
• Provide general support in the classroom and use specialist knowledge to support pupils or groups.

Responsabilidades

• Assist with lesson plans and evaluate/adjust lesson/work plans.
• Supervise and support pupils, ensuring safety and access to learning during visits, trips and activities.
• Establish good relationships with pupils, provide pastoral support and act as a role model.
• Monitor and record pupil progress and response to learning activities.
• Administer routine tests and invigilate exams; undertake routine marking as directed.
• Encourage pupils to interact and work cooperatively with others and engage in activities.
• Support pupils consistently while recognising and responding to individual needs; promote independence.
• Receive and supervise pupils excluded from or not on a normal timetable.
• Provide feedback to pupils on progress and achievement.
• Establish productive relationships with pupils and maintain high expectations.
• Teach whole classes short term as required.
• Model and promote positive values, attitudes and behaviour.
• Be willing to be fully involved in life of the academy.
• Role may involve working at other academies within the trust.
