Job summary

Tradewind Recruitment is seeking a qualified Level 3 Teaching Assistant to support primary schools across Trafford from September 2026. The role offers both full-time and flexible part-time positions to suit experience and preferences.

You will work under teachers, provide 1:1 or small group support, assist with lesson delivery, monitor pupil progress, and help create an inclusive, engaging learning environment. A caring, patient approach and strong communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent)
• Experience in a primary school setting is preferred
• Strong understanding of the primary curriculum and teaching strategies
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Caring, patient and proactive approach to supporting children
• Flexible and adaptable to different school environments and teaching needs

Responsibilities

• Provide support to teachers and pupils across a variety of subjects.
• Work 1:1 or with small groups to assist learning and development.
• Support the classroom teacher in planning, preparing, and delivering lessons.
• Encourage positive behaviour and create an inclusive, engaging learning environment.
• Monitor and record pupil progress, assisting with intervention strategies.
• Help with classroom management, ensuring a safe and productive atmosphere.
