Job summary

Tradewind Recruitment is seeking a dedicated Part-time Teaching Assistant for a Salford primary school. The role is 3 days per week, with September 2026 start, supporting across year groups and providing classroom assistance to enable pupil access to the curriculum.

The ideal candidate will be experienced in a primary setting, flexible, and work well in a team, promoting positive behaviour and an engaging learning environment for all pupils.

• Experience working within a primary school setting.
• Confident supporting pupils across different year groups.
• Positive, flexible and adaptable approach.
• Able to work effectively as part of a team.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Support pupils across different year groups as required.
• Provide classroom support to help pupils access the curriculum.
• Work with individual pupils and small groups to provide additional support.
• Occasionally lead intervention groups to support pupils’ academic progress.
• Work closely with class teachers and other support staff to meet pupils’ needs.
• Promote positive behaviour and contribute to a safe, inclusive and engaging learning environment.
