Job summary

Spring Brook Academy is seeking a dedicated role to support students with SEMH. The post involves pastoral intervention, crisis support and working closely with teachers to tailor learning activities. You will help students overcome barriers, monitor progress, and provide regular feedback to parents and staff.

The role requires empathy, resilience and the ability to build strong relationships with pupils and families while delivering targeted interventions and covering classes when needed.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting young people with challenging behaviour and complex needs.
• Pastoral support to aid personal, social or learning development.
• Experience intervening to support students in crisis or trauma.
• Nurturing and empathetic approach to behaviour management.
• Physical and emotional resilience to support pupils with SEMH.
• Ability to monitor progress and provide feedback to stakeholders.
• Experience delivering bespoke interventions for individuals or small groups.
• Experience providing cover in short-term absences.
• Ability to work with teachers to differentiate interventions.
• Ability to build relationships with students and families.
