Job summary

Monarch Education in Rochdale is seeking a Level 3 Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary school from September/October 2026. This full-time role involves supporting pupils with SEND across year groups and working as part of a collaborative team.

Monarch Education is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Level 3 Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in Rochdale from September 2026.

This is a full-time opportunity for an experienced Teaching Assistant who is passionate about supporting children’s learning and development across the primary age range. The successful candidate will have experience supporting pupils with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) and be flexible to work across different year groups and classes as required.

The Role

• Support teaching and learning within the classroom.
• Work with individual pupils and small groups to help raise attainment and engagement.
• Provide tailored support for children with SEND, adapting activities to meet individual needs.
• Assist with the implementation of EHCP targets and intervention programmes.
• Foster positive relationships with pupils, staff and parents.
• Support behaviour management and promote a positive learning environment.
• Be flexible in covering across the school where needed, supporting different classes and age groups.

Requirements

• A Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification.
• Previous experience working within a primary school setting.
• Experience supporting children with SEND.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• A proactive, flexible and professional approach.
• The ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently when required.
